About Ken Tabor

Let's do something awesome together!

Bio

I'm a product-minded software engineer with an eye towards design. My goal is connecting bold opportunities with the cutting-edge technology that makes them real.

I like sharing my enthusiasm for technology as an active blogger, occasional teacher, newbie streamer, and frequent speaker at conferences including Big Design, South by Southwest, DevNexus, and O’Reilly OSCON.

My shipping work includes websites, mobile apps, and video games published by Atari, Nintendo, and Electronic Arts.

I've been a part of the Sabre team building TripCase, dedicated to getting millions of travelers where they need to go.

Currently, I spend time as a product and engineering leader helping guide Sabre’s tech platform. Our goal is delivering a fantastic developer experience springing from a strong focus on consistent, intentionally-designed, human-centered, APIs.

Part-time I'm serving as an internal GenAI guru. Sharing the "art of the possible" enables executive management to hone their framing as they approach AI with respect to corporate strategy. Collaborating with product teams allows me to accelerate those wanting to practically integrate GenAI tech into their applications.

Code!

Current emphasis is on building fantastic, customer-obsessed, software solutions using modern technology including:

  • OpenAI GPT and NodeJS SDK, llama.cpp, Mistral, HuggingFace
  • JavaScript, NodeJS, Express, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, Tailwind, Python, Pandas, git, Stripe, IntelliJ, VS Code
  • AWS [API Gateway, Certificate Manager, Cognito, CloudFront, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, Route53, S3]
  • Swift and ARKit (a while back)

I'm the author of, Responsive Web Design Toolkit: Hammering Websites Into Shape, a book published by Focal Press.

When I'm not working I'm having an adventure with my daughter. We’re always looking for the best chocolate, books, and coffee in Dallas.
